Even thought I served in the U.S. Marine Corps and I work on U.S. military members on a daily basis, I am not allowed to show photos of the many friends I have made over the past 15 years while providing treatment to active duty members of the military.

I am a progressive Board Certified Sports Chiropractor, and U.S. Naval Medicine credentialed and actively practicing with over 30 years of clinical experience in multi-discipline clinics, past HMO Clinical Review experience with post graduate specialty certifications and many years of Navy and civilian multi-specialty practice experience. Since 2011, I have been the Sports Chiropractor/ clinic director at the Naval Sports Medicine clinic at USMC School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, CA. I am one of only 11 Chiropractors within the U.S. Marine Corps and one of only 24 within the Naval Medical Service Corps. I am excellently qualified and represent a highly experienced clinician and exceptionally skilled at manual manipulation. I am not the typical Chiropractor as I will describe.
Since 1993, I have practiced in, and managed many clinics, including very busy multi-discipline clinics in Chicago, IL with daily clinical experience working alongside an Anesthesiologist/Pain Management M.D., Neurologist, Podiatrist, Naturopaths and Physical Therapists.
In 2009, I was selected by the U.S. Navy Medical Command to develop the first full-time Chiropractic clinic within the United States Marine Corps Officers Candidate School (OCS) Naval Health Clinic, Quantico, VA. There, I worked closely with the Navy Medical Director in the development of the first full-time Chiropractic Clinic working closely with the Sports Medicine Doctors, the Physical Therapy director, and the entire Physical Therapy department and the Navy Corpsmen staff in the treatment of the Marine Corps & Naval Clinic patients. In May 2010, I transfer to United States Marine Corps base, Naval Hospital, Twenty-nine Palms, CA to be closer to my home and private practice. I was the director of the Chiropractic Clinic within the Orthopedic Department where I worked with the directors of the Orthopedic and Physical Therapy Departments. In 2011, I was selected by the senior Navy Sports Medicine director to join the Camp Pendleton Navy Sports Medicine Clinic, where I currently work full-time as a civilian contractor / Chiropractor at the United States Marine Corps School of Infantry Chiropractic Clinic, working with Sports M.D’s, P.A.’s, P.T.’s and ATC’s while providing Chiropractic treatment of U.S. Marine Corps and Navy active duty military personnel and foreign military service members. I regularly treat the U.S. Marine Corps Special Forces / Recon Maines and volunteer at annual Recon Challenge. Since 2011, I have brought several new methods, and equipment into the Navy. In 2020, after 4 years of personal efforts, I was successful in acquiring approval and purchase of two high power PEMF units for our clinic, this is the first known high power PEMF therapy within the Navy/ Marine Corps.
Over my career, I have worked in 28 different clinics with no malpractice claims. I have treated thousands of patients of all ages from infants to advanced seniors, many professional and semi-professional athletes, U.S. Special Forces and foreign military, federal and local law enforcement, and many patients with very unique and special conditions. I am trained and skilled in a variety of safe, effective, evidence based, Chiropractic treatment techniques, including Diversified full spine and extremity manual manipulation, Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression, Cold Laser & Class IV Laser therapy, PEMF therapies, Whole Body Vibration, ArthroStim for gentle non-force manipulation, and a wide variety of myofascial treatments and more. Having extensive training in sports injuries, spinal rehabilitation, and clinical nutritional protocols, I regularly support my diagnosis and treatment with various medical specialists, MRI, diagnostic tests and any other necessary medical means to effectively manage patient care. Since 2005, I have own and managed my own private practice utilizing a variety of treatments and therapies described above.
As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP), I am one of approximately 4500 chiropractors to have completed the post-graduate training in sports injuries and was awarded the CCSP designation and then passed the National Board Certification examination given by American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians. I am also certified by the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic with the International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC). I am one of approximately 800 Chiropractors to complete the Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP)post graduate program. I have Certificate of Acupuncture for completion of 100 hour course and then practiced Acupuncture for 9 years in Illinois. I have an Advanced Certification in the Treatment of Whiplash Injuries from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. I have additional certifications as a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant (CNC), Certified Laser Therapist (CLT) in both Class III & Class IV Laser Therapy, and certifications in low and high power PEMF. I also have additional post-graduate training in spinal rehabilitation, spinal decompression, clinical nutrition, and various myofascial release methods.
Additionally, I was one of a very select group of chiropractors to ever work as a National Clinical Care Manager at American Specialty Health in San Diego, CA, the largest chiropractic HMO. This is a highly respected and sought after position within the profession. During my 2 1/2 years of employment, on a daily basis, I provided clinical review of treatments plans submitted from network participating chiropractors ensuring only clinically necessary chiropractic care based on current clinically evidence-based research is approved. I also educated chiropractors nationwide on appropriate patient management based on evidence based health care. I was also assigned to perform medical records audits, medical documentation review as part of the National HMO Provider Credentialing Committee for provider membership approval, and chiropractic provider education on various clinical cases. On a national level, I was responsible to ensure quality chiropractic care was rendered through the utilization review process based on current evidenced based chiropractic research.
As a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant (CNC), I worked part time for 7 years as a regional nutritional sales rep for Biogenesis Nutraceuticals, Inc., a leading professional, pharmaceutical grade nutritional company and was also a member of their Scientific Advisory Board. From 2004-2005, I also worked for Sabre Sciences as a nutritional and laboratory consultant specializing in hormonal balancing. I am a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians.
Since 2021, I am an approved California Board of Chiropractic Examiners lecturer and faculty for the Academy of Chiropractic Arts and Sciences doing Chiropractic Continuing Education seminars and lectures.
As a Veteran the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army Illinois National Guard, I can relate to veterans on a personal level. My private practice is an approved Veterans clinic where I receive referrals from the Veterans Administration’s Medical providers.
These experiences have provided me with exceptional confidence and success in all aspects of patient management, and I am certain I can work well with other medical professionals and be an excellent addition to your clinic. Thank you again for this opportunity, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely
